Air Conditioning Service Leicester
Clean. Checked.
Ready for the weather.
Air conditioning servicing and maintenance from Heat Leicester. Keep your heating and cooling system clean, checked and working as it should.
Allow approximately 45 minutes for the first unit.
Why service your AC?
It's moving air through your room. Give it a little attention occasionally.
Your indoor air conditioning unit contains filters and a heat exchanger that air passes through whenever the system is running.
During cooling it also produces condensate, while the outdoor unit spends its life exposed to the weather, dust, leaves and debris.
A service gives the system a useful inspection and clean rather than waiting until something smells wrong, sounds different or stops performing as expected.

Something not quite right?
Your AC usually gives you a few clues.
If you've noticed a change in how your system smells, sounds or performs, mention it when you book.
Musty or damp smell
A noticeable smell when the indoor unit starts can indicate that the unit needs inspection and cleaning.
Reduced airflow
If it isn't moving air like it used to, dirty or restricted components may be contributing.
Taking longer to cool
A noticeable change in heating or cooling performance is worth mentioning to us.
Dripping or leaking
Water around the indoor unit can indicate a condensate drainage issue and shouldn't simply be ignored.
A new sound
If the indoor or outdoor unit suddenly sounds different, tell us when you book.
It's just been a while
Nothing needs to be broken before a clean and general check makes sense.
That AC smell
Smells a bit like wet socks?
It's one of the common reasons people start thinking about cleaning their air conditioner. During cooling, moisture forms on the indoor heat exchanger and drains away as condensate.
If dirt and contamination build up inside the indoor unit, an unpleasant musty smell can become noticeable — particularly when the system first starts or changes operating mode.
Cleaning the user-accessible filters is sensible routine maintenance, but if the smell remains, the indoor unit may need a more thorough inspection and clean.
If the smell is still there afterwards, book the system in and mention the smell in your appointment notes.
Between services
A few things you can do yourself.
Simple maintenance can help keep the system clean between professional visits.
Check the filters
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for checking and cleaning reusable indoor filters.
Keep the airflow clear
Don't obstruct the indoor air inlet or outlet with furniture or stored items.
Check outside
Keep leaves, plants and stored items from restricting airflow around the outdoor unit.
Don't ignore changes
New smells, noises, leaks or a noticeable performance change are worth mentioning when the system is serviced.
